Yoshitaka Amano (天野 喜孝, born 1952) is a renowned Japanese illustrator, character designer, and fine artist best known for his ethereal, dreamlike style. Internationally, Amano is most famous as the character and logo designer for the Final Fantasy series.
Beyond games and anime, Amano has illustrated novels (Vampire Hunter D), created stage and costume designs, and exhibited paintings worldwide. His work blends Japanese aesthetics, Art Nouveau, and fantasy, often featuring flowing figures, ornate costumes, and a strong sense of myth and poetry.
